Volk Redis Bold Italic by Peter Wiegel is a free calligraphic script with broad loops and a pronounced forward sweep. Tall capitals rise into flourishes and the connected forms make a dense, lively line. The rounded joins soften the dramatic silhouette and keep it fluid.
Wedding invitations make especially good use of its flourishes. Boutique packaging and event posters suit the same sweeping forms, and magazine covers can use them to turn a masthead into expressive lettering.
