Chapleau Font

Chapleau by Neale Davidson of Pixel Sagas is a free Art Deco-inspired sans serif with towering proportions and sharply changing stroke widths. Its geometric capitals feel theatrical, with needle-thin lines set against broad curves and wedges.

Fashion photography and angular architectural illustration echo the lettering's severe geometry, making it a natural fit for magazine covers and exhibition posters. Luxury packaging can draw on the same elongated forms for a refined period accent. It also suits dramatic stage titles and jazz event graphics rooted in the glamour of the machine age.

The font includes accented characters, the full alphabet, the euro symbol, and bold and italic versions.

Version 1.5 changed the format to OTF, added oe and per-thousand glyphs, and cleaned up the spacing.
