Chapleau Bold Italic by Neale Davidson is a free retro display font with a steep forward slant and sharply cut, high-contrast forms. Thick strokes meet thin wedges and pointed joins.
Designers working in fashion, nightlife, and music will find its theatrical edge useful for posters, album covers, and event branding. The lettering recalls angular Art Deco showcards, but its stretched diagonals and tightly drawn curves feel more eccentric than formal. It can also turn magazine mastheads and apparel graphics into part of the illustration, with each word reading as a jagged custom shape.
