Bastarda by George W. Williams is a free medieval blackletter font built from dramatic thick-thin strokes, sharply broken curves, and sweeping flourished capitals. Pointed lowercase forms keep the texture tight and manuscript-like.

It can lend historical weight to fantasy game titles and period event posters, yet the same theatrical shapes also suit metal album covers and dark fashion branding with an occult edge.
