VTC Sumi Slasher One by Larry E. Yerkes is a free horror display font built from sharply changing stroke widths and an uneasy, visibly hand-drawn edge. Jagged barbs repeatedly break into the slender letter shapes.
Designers working in horror, dark fantasy, and underground music will find it suited to film posters, game title art, and album covers. Its thorn-like marks can echo tangled branches, scratches, or occult illustration, making the lettering part of the image rather than a neutral caption. The same raw silhouette also suits Halloween event graphics and merchandise aimed at audiences who expect something abrasive, theatrical, and slightly sinister.
