VTC Karnival Fat by Larry E. Yerkes of WolfBainx and Vigilante Typeface Corporation is a free comic display font with broad, lopsided forms. Its uneven edges and sharply cut corners give the lettering a rowdy, hand-shaped silhouette.
Carnival graphics and unruly children's entertainment suit its exaggerated forms, especially on posters and game title screens. The same rough humor can enliven snack packaging and novelty merchandise. In these settings, letters become a midway sign or cartoon emblem rather than neutral text.

The font was created from lettering on a large sign above an ice cream stand at a recent fair or carnival in Pennsylvania. Larry E. Yerkes photographed the sign, later reproduced the lettering on paper, and developed it into a complete font.
