Unity Titling, designed by James Vipond of FontStruct, is a free geometric display sans built from exceptionally heavy, tightly fitted shapes. Broad strokes, rounded outer corners, and small rectangular openings give the lettering a compact, machine-cut silhouette with a hint of retro futurism.
Retro-futurist graphics are its clearest territory, especially game title cards and electronic music posters that benefit from forceful, modular lettering. The squared cuts and softened bends can echo control panels, industrial labels, and chunky interface icons rather than acting as neutral text. It can also lend a playful engineered look to toy packaging and science-fiction event branding.
