Trocchi by Vernon Adams is a free sturdy serif font with broad proportions and a distinctly literary air. Its capitals have strong slab-like serifs and pronounced shifts between thick and thin strokes. The lowercase is softer and more compact.

Book covers are its clearest home, with the firm shapes lending authority to historical fiction and essay collections. The same robust texture also suits brewery labels, period posters, and heritage branding. In illustrated publishing, it can become part of a woodcut border or emblem rather than serving as neutral text.
