Teletext by Roli of FontShop International GmbH is a free pixel font built from stark, rectangular strokes. Its letters follow a coarse screen grid, with stepped turns and square gaps replacing smooth curves. The repeated mix of solid bars and open slots recalls early broadcast text and low-resolution computer displays with a deliberate mechanical simplicity.
Pixel icons and simple grid-based illustrations share the same construction, making the font useful for game interfaces, technology posters, and electronic music artwork. It can also shape retro television graphics or merchandise aimed at players, programmers, and viewers drawn to the direct visual codes of early digital media.
