SF Avondale Outline by Derek Vogelpohl of ShyFoundry is a free outlined slab serif display font rooted in vintage athletic lettering. Its broad, squared serifs and hollow strokes make the forms look stamped rather than filled. The proportions shift noticeably from letter to letter.

Posters make good use of its spare construction, especially for sports events or retro entertainment. It also fits team merchandise, campus signage, and game graphics built around varsity themes. Its most convincing role is a prominent event title with an old-school scoreboard flavor.
