Schwarzmaler, created by Paul Hornoff of FSI FontShop International GmbH, is a free sign dingbat font of solid, simplified silhouettes with rounded corners, crisp side notches, and hard rectangular cut-ins. The forms are broad, compact, and deliberately stark.
Those plaque-like shapes can become frames for simple illustrations or icons, making them useful in wayfinding systems, game interfaces, and event graphics built around flat pictograms and other bold directional elements.
