Renegade Italic Font

Renegade Italic by Neale Davidson is a free futuristic display font with a pronounced forward slant and hard-edged stance. Its capitals are cut into broad wedges and narrow blades, with abrupt changes in stroke width that sharpen the overall silhouette. Angular notches and white breaks give many letters the look of folded metal or interlocking machine parts.

Designers in action games and motorsport are the clearest audience. Electronic music artwork, title cards, and merchandise can use the fractured silhouettes as custom emblems linked to sci-fi vehicles, racing graphics, and industrial technology.

Renegade is based on product titles from FASA’s Renegade Legion series of combat games, popularized in the 1980s. It includes full alphanumerics, extended punctuation, the euro symbol, and regular and italic faces.
