Quirkus Bold Italic by Peter Wiegel is a free bold italic sans serif that combines steeply slanted letters, lively changes in stroke width, broad curves, pointed joins, and sharp diagonal cuts. The sweeping forms look clean rather than brushy.

Packaging gives this face a convincing home, especially on snack labels and drinks aimed at an upbeat, informal market. Its forward motion also suits sports posters, music merchandise, and event graphics, but product lettering is its strongest role because the oversized curves and clipped details can become part of the label's colorful illustration.
