Pyriform Tones NF by Nick Curtis of Nick's Fonts is a free retro serif display font with the loose, eccentric manners of hand-drawn showcard lettering. Thick upright strokes meet fine crossbars and rounded, bulb-like ends, producing a lively silhouette across the lettering. The curves are especially generous.
It is at its best on poster titles for stage shows and local events, where the sweeping curves and uneven proportions supply a theatrical, slightly comic note, and the same traits suit music packaging and boutique branding. The same old-fashioned structure and playful finish make sense on book covers and illustrated merchandise, too.
