Plakkaat, designed by David Kerkhoff, is a free brush display font with broad, forceful capitals. Stroke widths shift abruptly, and the rough edges retain streaks and small gaps from a loaded brush. The uneven widths and blunt endings make the lettering feel hand-painted rather than carefully outlined.

On posters, Plakkaat brings the direct impact of hand-painted street notices, making it apt for local independent music events where the lettering can take the role of a bold painted placard. That same coarse, emphatic finish also suits food packaging, skate merchandise, and editorial spreads built around protest, youth culture, or do-it-yourself graphics.
