Peridot is a free humanist sans serif by Rubicon Computer Labs, released in 1997, with a calm, lightly calligraphic elegance. The letters mix clean, spare forms with noticeable stroke contrast and rounded curves, so the font feels more literary than geometric and avoids a slick corporate tone.

That makes it a natural fit for book jackets, arts branding, magazine cover lines, boutique packaging, and film title cards where a free font needs a little grace without turning ornate.
