Paleos by David F. Nalle is a free scary display font shaped by a rough, hand-hewn silhouette that looks scraped rather than polished. The uneven outline and blunt, primitive construction give the lettering an old, ominous presence that feels closer to a carved mark than a standard decorative display style.

That raw edge makes sense on horror titles, Halloween flyers, game graphics, haunted attraction posters, and dark fantasy packaging where cleaner lettering would feel too tame. Paleos can also sharpen chapter openers or themed event headers, especially when a project needs jagged, archaic forms instead of generic spooky effects.
