Out of Tune from Paintblack is a free eroded display font with broad slab serifs, dense capitals, and a roughly printed surface marked by scratches, chipped edges, and irregular dark patches across nearly every letter. The blunt, uneven shapes resemble battered woodblock type.
Live music, nightlife, and DIY culture suit its distressed voice, making it useful for concert posters, album covers, venue signage, and merchandise that should look stamped, photocopied, or weathered after a long run of shows. Its most natural audience is independent bands, small independent clubs, record shops, and streetwear labels drawn to deliberately worn print rather than polished branding.
