nighthour Font

Nighthour by Max Infeld of Xerographer.com is a free outlined cartoon display font with an unruly, hand-drawn edge. Its broad, uneven capitals combine chunky slab serifs with loose interior contours. No two edges feel mechanically tidy.

The lettering can push a children's adventure poster toward comic mischief, yet its rough saloon-like shapes also suit music merchandise and novelty packaging. Uneven outlines let the words take part in illustrated scenes, especially beside monsters, cowboys, or humorous characters. It is most convincing on posters, where the large, awkwardly jaunty forms can function almost like a cast of drawn characters.
