MK Broken Types by Manfred Klein is a free medieval gothic font defined by sharp blackletter rhythm and repeated diamond-shaped breaks cut into the strokes. Those interruptions keep the lettering from feeling purely traditional, giving the dark angular forms a more splintered, graphic cadence.

It makes the most sense in book covers, fantasy game titles, pub signs, event posters, and themed packaging where that fractured blackletter texture can do more than plain old gothic lettering. Short headlines and logo-style wording benefit most, since the pointed turns and cut sections create a strong period cue without looking overly ornate.
