Minya Nouvelle by Ray Larabie of Typodermic Fonts Inc. is a free irregular display serif with tall, loosely drawn forms. Its uneven stroke widths, tilted crossbars, and sharp wedge-like serifs give the lettering the irregularity of cut-paper shapes.

Folklore, eccentric history, and theatrical themes suit its offbeat construction, making it useful for festival posters and entertainment graphics. It can also lend an unconventional voice to confectionery packaging or children's merchandise, especially when the artwork shares its angular shapes.
