Mezzanine by Frederic Rich is a free eroded display font with tall, forceful lettering. Its broken edges resemble ink dragged across a rough printing surface. Narrow gaps and uneven patches sharpen the industrial look.
Its distressed print character suits punk music graphics and underground event posters. The same battered forms fit skate merchandise and horror-themed packaging, where clean type would feel too controlled. Across these uses, the irregular wear makes the lettering part of the artwork rather than text.
