MediaBlackout by Kevin Christopher of KC Fonts is a free eroded display font with hulking, tightly packed capitals. Its blunt, swollen shapes resemble roughly cut paper or heavily inked printing. The silhouettes stay forceful and compact.
Its raw punk-poster character makes it a natural fit for concert posters and album covers. Streetwear graphics can use the dense lettering as a rough logo element, with the irregular cuts keeping the result from feeling corporate. In publishing, it is especially suited to magazine cover lines and section openers about underground music, skate culture, or independent art.
