Maniac DEMO

Maniac, designed by Thomas W. Otto in 2000, is a free brush font defined by ragged dry-stroke texture and abrupt breaks that make the lettering feel slashed on rather than carefully drawn. The rough edges, ink drag, and uneven buildup keep that energy consistent across the design, giving it a raw hand-painted presence instead of a smooth script finish.

That surface makes sense on horror posters, punk flyers, skate graphics, album art, and distressed T-shirt designs where clean outlines would feel too polite. Short headlines, event titles, and cover lines benefit most, since the torn brush texture does the work of setting a loud, agitated tone on its own.
