LT Nutshell Library, designed by Lauren Thompson of Nymphont, is a free storybook display font with broad, irregular serif letters. Leaflike notches run along the inner strokes, giving the forms a carved quality. Their outlines are cheerfully uneven.
Packaging is a natural medium for this lettering, especially confectionery labels and children's products, and its ornamental cuts can also enliven event posters. It also suits book covers and fairy-tale projects, where the notches can echo vines, teeth, or carved decoration.
