Jester is a free comic display font with tall, uneven letters that look roughly cut and nudged into place by hand. Sharp slab-like feet, shifting stroke widths, and awkward joins give the alphabet a lively roughness and an intentionally unstable silhouette from one character to the next.
As a crooked theatrical title, it can turn comedy posters and stage programs into part of the performance. The wobble suits mischievous entertainment especially well. Its odd shapes also fit children's book covers, novelty packaging, and band merchandise with a scrappy comic-book streak.
