IM FELL Double Pica PRO, drawn by Igino Marini, is a free old-style serif with the uneven cut and stately proportions of early printed type. Its tall capitals combine broad, slightly cupped serifs with changing stroke widths, and the softened edges keep the lettering from looking clinically precise.
Its historic bookish manner makes it especially convincing for period publishing and literary posters. The irregular contours also suit heritage branding and labels for traditional food or drink, where a clean revival might seem too polished. On theatre programs, the lettering can echo antique hand-set titles without turning into ornate decoration.
