Hiragana by Steve Borthick is a free Japanese-inspired brush display font built from sharply cut strokes, uneven curves, and an unruly hand-painted silhouette that recalls expressive ink lettering. Its changing stroke widths make the letters look fast and forceful.

As a theatrical title treatment, it can turn martial-arts posters, action-game graphics, and event branding into part of the spectacle, with the letters reading almost like painted props or weapon marks. The same jagged brushwork also suits streetwear merchandise and music packaging, where its slashed forms can become ink splatters, blade shapes, or gestural artwork across printed shirts and record sleeves.
