Heimat Font

Heimat, designed by Wilhelm Weimar for Genzsch & Heyse, is a free blackletter font with broad, dark strokes and a distinctly hand-cut silhouette. Its rounded masses end in sharp wedges and hooked points.

The lettering fits historical publishing through its compact medieval forms, yet its exaggerated curves also suit fantasy game graphics. It has strong pictorial value for tavern branding and music merchandise, especially when the project favors ornament over formality.
