Half Empty Font

Half Empty by Stephanie McHugh is a free outlined display font with broad, upright, rounded letters and a striking split-fill treatment. The lower halves turn solid, leaving the tops open.

The hard black-and-open division echoes bold flat-color illustration and gives poster graphics a built-in image device. It fits album artwork, event posters, and streetwear branding, where the lettering can become part of the image rather than a neutral caption. The half-filled forms are especially apt for drink packaging, where they can echo liquid levels on labels and shop signs.
