Gramofon, designed by Adam Josefus, is a free handwritten font with tall, wiry letters and a loose, unhurried line. Its uneven heights, narrow shapes, and softly wandering strokes give the writing the look of quick marker lettering rather than careful penmanship.
It is most convincing on cafe packaging, where its informal line can suggest a hand-labeled product. The same lanky forms suit music posters and independent magazine covers. Its relaxed drawing also fits food illustration and acoustic music graphics, especially when the lettering becomes part of the artwork.
