Études Typographiques 02B, created by Tibor Lantos of FontShop International GmbH, is a free patterned display font built from rows of tiny rippling marks. Its tall serif forms keep a stately outline, but repeated strokes make the letters resemble woven cord or vibrating engraving. The texture is the main event.
As an illustrated title, it can turn a music poster or album cover into an optical pattern rather than ordinary lettering. The same woven motif suits apparel graphics and craft packaging, where it can become a recognizable product emblem.
