Dogs of War by Patrick Lauke of FontStruct is a free blocky pixel font built from hard-edged rectangular strokes. Its tall letters have an industrial silhouette, with stepped cuts breaking up several corners and diagonals. The construction feels dense and mechanical rather than delicate.
As an electronic display element, it can turn game interfaces, music posters, and event graphics into something close to an old arcade or control panel. Merchandise and entertainment branding also suit its severe grid pattern, which connects most convincingly with retro technology, combat games, and industrial science fiction.
