DK Lampion by David Kerkhoff is a free handwritten font with tall, slender letters and a lightly wavering line. Its uneven widths and gently changing stroke weight give the alphabet the directness of lettering drawn quickly with a fine marker. The loose curves keep it informal.
Food, craft, and casual event themes suit its friendly, unpolished character. It can give cafe packaging and market posters the look of a handwritten sign, and its narrow proportions also fit lively editorial headings. On invitations and children's publishing, the simple outlines can echo doodled illustrations, turning the wording into part of the drawing.
