Cheapstealer by Billy Argel is a free eroded old-school display font with broad slab serifs and a hard-used letterpress look. Its wide, weighty capitals combine blunt curves, uneven edges, and scattered abrasions that make the type resemble battered wood type.
It can turn a title into a weathered shop sign. That role makes it especially convincing for Western-themed posters, bar packaging, and roots-music merchandise, where the rough surface supports a worn, unruly atmosphere. On editorial covers, the same damaged print texture can echo archival photographs and aged paper, linking publishing and entertainment uses through a shared sense of history.
