Bonning Wide Expanded Bold by Paul J Lloyd of Greater Albion Typefounders is a free high-contrast serif display font with broad, softly modeled letters. Heavy upright strokes meet fine crossbars and compact wedge-like serifs, producing a firm silhouette. Its generous width and rounded forms give the design a genial, old-fashioned air.
Vintage poster lettering is the clearest reference, making the face suitable for theater bills and heritage event graphics with illustrated borders or ornamental rules.
