Assiduous Font

Assiduous, designed by Peter Blake and Nick Smale, is a free ultra-condensed sans serif with a stark, engineered look. Its towering letters are built from firm vertical strokes, tight curves, compact spacing, and unusually narrow proportions. The consistent stroke weight and squared joins keep the forms clean, orderly, and more mechanical than delicate.

Editorial design is its strongest medium, especially for magazine layouts and museum graphics, and the same industrial structure suits event posters, music packaging, and directional signage. Its clearest role is a tall title in a narrow space.
