Rudelsberg-Initialen by Dieter Steffmann of Typographer Mediengestaltung is a free ornamental display font inspired by decorated initials. Its broad, uneven letterforms have swollen curves and blunt serifs, with hand-drawn edges that recall carved or inked lettering.
Floral borders and illustrated emblems can echo the font's framed, storybook ornament in book covers and fantasy posters. The lettering feels suitably theatrical for historical events.
