New Times Ancient by Jwosty of FSI FontShop International GmbH is a free pixel display font built from stark, squared forms. Its tall letters use abrupt notches and stepped cutouts that resemble simplified masonry or early screen graphics, with narrow openings that make each character look machined. The silhouette is dense and severe.
Game graphics make especially good use of this rigid, low-resolution construction, particularly for retro interfaces and arcade title screens. Its fortress-like shapes also suit electronic music posters, science-fiction merchandise, and event branding, but games remain the clearest fit because the lettering can become part of the on-screen architecture.
