N.E. New Newbix3, credited to neurone error of FontShop International GmbH, is a free segmented pixel font built from short horizontal bars. The letters are reduced to stacked rows of rectangular marks, with hard corners and breaks through every form. This stripped construction recalls early electronic readouts and low-resolution screen lettering.
It can create the look of a coded display in game interfaces and technology branding, and its severe geometry suits electronic music posters and album covers. The repeated dash motif lets the lettering function like part of a circuit diagram or data graphic, rather than ordinary printed type.
