Airport Cyr, designed by Thorsten Schraut with Cyrillic work by Nikolay Dubina, is a free pixel font built from square modules. Its caps have rigid right angles, abrupt notches, and broad gaps that make the lettering resemble an early electronic sign. The uneven block patterns give familiar forms a deliberately low-resolution edge.
A transport venue or technology brand could use it to suggest utilitarian screens and old terminal graphics. It also fits game interfaces and event posters, where the segmented construction can become part of icons or map-like imagery. In editorial design, it is suited to section openers or cover lines for stories about computing, travel systems, and digital nostalgia.
